Indique Restaurant
Indique is a must visit place if you a re planning a trip to Jodhpur. This restaurant is pricy. they serve alcohol and have beautiful view of the Mehrangarh fort. You have to reach there just after sunset to book a table on the roof top. We managed to get to the roof top restaurant, with a beautiful view and lip smacking food.
Kalinga Restaurant
This restaurant is located just outside the Jodhpur railway station. Its very popular restaurant amongst the locals. This mid budget place you can also try for authentic Rajasthani food.
These places were suggested by locals. If you get to try any of them please let us know in the comments.
Getting Around in Jodhpur
In Jodhpur you can book a full car or an auto-rickshaw to do the sightseeing or getting around. If you are booking any on the fly make sure to bargain. Safest option would be to book Ola or Uber to go to any destination. Remember inside old city hardly any car can go so best option is to walk in midst of chaos.
Planning a trip to Jodhpur Itinerary on a weekend
Jodhpur only take two days to complete unless you are planning on to go for village walks or tours. You can cover it all if you plan a trip over a long weekend. We have done the same during Holi break and covered Jaisalmer as well, you can read here.
Day1: Reach Jodhpur early morning and check into your hotel. After taking some rest go for sight seeing. You can book an Uber or a dedicated car/ rickshaw to show you around. Sight seeing in Jodhpur can take half a day so depending on what time you reached you can do this on the same day of arrival or the next day. After sight seeing, head for dinner near Ghanta ghar at sunset.
Day2: Wake up early to see the Blue houses in jodhpur, walk along the place and it’s perfect for your Instagram pictures. Then you can take a trip to Bishnoi village tour, and enjoy the animal lover village and their culture. After that, have lunch and prepare to leave the blue city with lovely memories.
